Today, June 5, we celebrate "World Environment Day" under the slogan "only one earth."
Watan believes in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which call in their goals No. 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 for commitment to support the environment and climate to make them safer and to ensure environmental sustainability for us and future generations.
On this occasion, we call on you to think about our practices and behavior towards the environment in which we live and to work more effectively with the government and authorities to make our environment more livable.
The most important of these practices are:
- General hygiene, from home to all our movements; because a clean environment directly reflects society's civilization and progress.
- Preserving public resources such as water, electricity, fuel, food, medicine, and so on, as they are critical to our safety and security.
- Avoid harmful climate and environmental behavior (such as burning waste and unorganized waste disposal, cutting down trees, excessive use of plastic tools, particularly single-use plastic tools, and damaging public facilities).
- encouraging environmentally and climate-friendly behaviors such as agriculture, public facility preservation, spreading environmental awareness in society and the family, reducing the use of single-use plastic bags and bottles and replacing them with less harmful alternatives.
Together for a world that preserves the environment
